This richly textured crochet scarf pattern features a base of herringbone half double crochet and accented with pretty bands of star stitches. This is a perfect scarf to crochet for men or women, and it looks amazing with or without fringe.
Don’t you love a good crochet scarf pattern? When I get in the groove of crocheting gorgeous textures like the crochet herringbone half double stitch, or the star stitch and the yarn over slip stitch, I always feel so satisfied when I’m done!

Materials Needed to Crochet the Chesapeake Scarf Pattern
I/5.5 mm Crochet Hook – I prefer using a Furls Streamline Metal hook with acrylic yarn- shop them HERE!
1 skein Brava Tweed, Worsted [4] weight, 97% Acrylic, 3% Viscose yarn, 218yds, 100g, shown in the Wasabi colorway.
My scarf used up 240g yarn, so you’ll probably have enough left over to make the matching Ear Warmer pattern, but not quite enough to make a matching hat. I recommend getting at least 4 skeins, because you’ll want to make the matching scarf pattern!
You can purchase it here from WeCrochet. Brava Tweed yarn is one of my new stash staple yarns! I absolutely love working with it.
You’ll also want a pair of scissors, and a yarn/tapestry needle for weaving in your ends. I buy Yarn Needles on Amazon Here, and I prefer buying 3.5″ stork embroidery scissors from Amazon here. They’re cheap and compact enough that I can keep one in several project WIP bags!
