Are you getting so excited to see your finished sweater?
Whether this is your first or fiftieth sweater, it’s always SO exciting to get to the sleeves, because that means you’re almost finished! After this, all we will have to do is assemble the pieces, and finish the ribbing for the collar for part 5.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
Materials
J 6mm crochet hook – I used my Furls Streamline Swirl
Lion Brand Touch of Alpaca Bonus Bundle, Worsted [4] weight, 90% Acrylic, 10% Alpaca yarn, 7oz/200g; 415yds/380m, shown in Navy

Ch- chain; Cl- cluster; Dc – double crochet; Sc- single crochet; Sk- skip; St- stitch;
Special Stitches
Cluster: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch indicated, yarn over and draw loop through stitch, yarn over and pull through two loops (2 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, yarn over and draw loop through stitch, yarn over and pull through two loops (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through three loops to complete stitch.
Notes
The sleeves in this sweater pattern are worked upward from the cuff. We’ll be making turned rows, which helps the sleeves match the look of the body panels, and keeps the seam straight under the arm.

Clear Skies Cardigan Sleeve Pattern (Make Two)
Row 1: Ch 9, working through back bump, sc in 2nd ch and across. [8 sc]
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc through blo of each st across. [8 sc]
Repeat Row 2 another {22(24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34)} more times, for a total of 24(26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36) rows.
Joining cuff in round: Hold opposite edge behind current row, slip stitch the front loop of the front edge to the back loop of the opposite edge. [8 sl]
From this point forward, odd numbered rows are worked on the wrong side, while even numbered rows are worked on the right side.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in the side of each row around. [24(26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36) sc]
Round 2: Ch 2, dc in each st around. [24(26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36) dc]
Round 3: Ch 1, turn, work 2 sc in same st as join, sc around until 1 st remains, work 2 sc in last st, sl to join. [26(28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38) sc]
Round 4: Ch 2, turn, cl in same st as join, *ch 1, sk 1, cl in next st,* repeat * to * around, sl to join. [13(14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) cl]

From this point you will not be increasing any longer. Check that your arm hole measures 7(7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10) inches in width. (Be sure to include the height of the sleeve- as these few stitches can measure up to half an inch.)
Round 28: Ch 2, turn, cl in same st as join, *ch 1, sk 1, cl in next st,* repeat * to * around, sl to join. [25(26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31) cl.]
Round 29: Ch 1, turn, sc in same st as join and each st around.[50(52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62) sc.]
Round 30: Ch 2, turn, dc in same st as join and each st around. 50(52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62) dc.]
Round 31: Repeat Round 29. [50(52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62) sc.]
