Thank you so much to all of you that participated in our Christmas Hat CAL! We hope you had an amazing time making and sharing your Crochet Christmas Gift Ideas with us! It was an absolute pleasure seeing all your WIPs, yarn choices, and hats in the Salty Pearl Crochet Circle and the Unraveled Mitten Crochet Club.
To celebrate these amazing Christmas Hat Crochet Patterns, I’m creating a roundup of all the Crochet Christmas Hat Patterns from our CAL, as well as the matching Crochet Christmas Gift Patterns from each of the crochet designers that participated.

I know you’re going to LOVE these awesome crochet Christmas gift ideas! I am absolutely blown away by the creativity among our friends. (That includes each and every one of you who crocheted along with us!)
Mermaid Tears Beanie by Katie at Salty Pearl Crochet
This beanie made a splash in the CAL! I love the simple texture of open V stitches paired with Crochet Shell Stitching. The slip stitch brim takes a lot of patience, but WOW doesn’t it pay off in the end?
Coordinating Mermaid Tears Cowl
I only had one skein of Lion Brand Landscapes, so I made the coordinating cowl pattern with Lion Brand Scarfie. I wasn’t sure how the shells would look in a self-striping yarn like this, but I am SO happy with how they came out!
I absolutely can’t get enough of this gorgeous stitch pattern. So, I remade it in a beautiful, luxurious shawl. I highly recommend you try out the yarn I recommend over in the pattern, the Pima Cotton is just to die for!
Child Sized Rapids Beanie by Heather at the Unraveled Mitten
These adorable beanies are just the best! I love how simple and easy they are to make- you’ll be hooked on this pattern for sure!

This beanie works up in a snap, and I love how easy it is to customize the look! You could easily crochet this beanie in sports team colors, school colors, or even favorites or trusty neutrals to go with everything.
Bonus: Mackinac Beanie Pattern – this is a perfect crochet gift for men!
This crochet texture beanie makes a beautiful understated gift. I think the classic crochet cable texture hat would make a really nice hat for a guy, don’t you?
Diamond in the Rough Headband by Sarah at Rich Textures Crochet
I was so excited to see a crochet headband pattern included in the Christmas Hat CAL! So many people just aren’t always into wearing hats, and that’s OK! This beautiful headband is a fabulous alternative to keep your ears warm in winter while still wearing that awesome Messy Bun!
Matching Diamond in the Rough Scarf Pattern
The matching crochet scarf pattern is beautiful, too! I know quite a few people who would really love this beautiful scarf- it’s such a classic look!
Christmas Hat by Kayla at KMT Crochet Creations
The cute knit look stripes are so classic! They really remind me of cute Fair Isle or Nordic pieces, don’t you agree? In any case, this hat is a fantastic crochet scrap buster pattern, and I am SO excited to get a few more done for all my nephews.
Matching Sophia’s Drawstring Backpack
Using the same stitch pattern for a cute crochet drawstring backpack pattern makes a phenomenal Christmas gift to crochet! You could even fill the backpack with another gift- double duty! (I am probably going to do this for my kiddos this year. So cute!)
Sugar Plum Dreams Knit Look Elf Hat for Babies at Kirsten Holloway Designs
This adorable crochet elf hat makes such a sweet gift for the tiny ones on your Christmas list! I already made one for my sister’s new baby in boy colors (we will see if I end up remaking it in pink for a niece)! There are some easy instructions included to size up for older kiddos, and even adults too!
Coordinating Waterlily Waltz Headband Pattern
This headband may not be quite a “match” to the crochet sleep cap above, but they coordinate well together because they both use the crochet waistcoat stitch. I’ll be making an ear warmer like this for my sister, too!
Sierra Beanie by Maria at Maria’s Blue Crayon
This beautiful crochet beanie makes an amazing crochet Christmas gift! I love the trendy fur pompom she used, don’t you?
Bonus: Christmas Granny Afghan Crochet Along
You’ve got to check out this gorgeous Christmas Granny Square afghan, too! I love the pretty crochet appliques, and blankets are such a fabulous gift idea to crochet.
Pinecrest Beanie by Carol at Sweet Potato Crochet Creations
The unique crochet stitch pattern used in this hat is just stunning! I really love that you can make it work in Christmas colors, neutrals, or any color scheme that suits you! But I think my favorite is the green and white.
Matching Pinecrest Cowl Pattern
The matching crochet cowl pattern makes a very classy gift, too! This gorgeous crochet gift idea would please nearly anyone on my crochet Christmas list!
BONUS: Matching Pinecrest Headband
AND there’s a matching headband? Carol, you outdid yourself! Headbands are the perfect crochet gift idea for people who have large heads, lots of hair… you get the idea! I find that equestrians in particular love them for keeping ears warm on winter rides!
Christmas Gift Beanie by Nicole at Nicki’s Homemade Crafts
This gorgeous crochet Christmas Hat Pattern makes the perfect gift- AND the perfect gift wrap for a little trinket! Wouldn’t you LOVE to open a box and find this hat stuffed with a fun yarn cake. (Hint hint, Santa!)
Bonus: 30 Minute Hand Beanie – perfect for those REALLY last minute gifts!
I love how easy this beanie is to make! Finger crochet patterns are so fun and quick, too.
Cookies and Cream Slouch Hat by Megan at Left in Knots
This pretty crochet slouch hat pattern makes such a great quick gift! I love making Scarfie crochet patterns, because the bulky yarn is super soft but works up very quickly!
Matching Cookies and Cream Cowl
This cowl matches the hat perfectly when worked in the same color of Scarfie yarn! Do you like working crochet hat and cowl pattern sets? I really do!
If you’re in love with Lion Brand Scarfie like I am, you’ve got to check out these awesome collections by Megan! There are SO many fantastic Scarfie crochet patterns, I know you’ll absolutely love them.
