This easy chemo cap uses soft yarn and simple stitches for a fun textured look that’s still smooth and comfortable on the inside.
One of my favorite yearly crochet events is the annual Cancer Hat Challenge hosted by Sweet Potato 3. Every year, thousands of crocheters join together to donate chemo caps to their local cancer charities, and get free hat patterns to use for it!

Thank you so much for this pattern. It is very easy and quick to make with lots of texture without changing colors! Love it and just started making chemo hats first for my friends who are going through chemo and extras for the infusion clinics near me.

Looking for others in my area also making chemo hats.

Hi Liz!
I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed this pattern! Texture and NO color changes are my vibe for sure- I don’t have time to weave in extra ends, LOL!
Best of luck finding a local crochet club! I have had success checking in local yarn shops and YMCA clubs near me in the past.
Happy Crocheting!
Katie
