If you’ve made a Clear Skies cardigan, this beanie was most definitely inspired by the stitch pattern used for that pattern. It isn’t exactly like the cardigan, but it was idea and inspiration behind this beanie pattern!
Reusing stitch patterns to reinvent so many different types of projects is my favorite part about crochet! That’s why I’m featuring this adorable beanie in the 2025 International Crochet Month Blog Hop.

This quick and chunky beanie pattern features a two row repeat of a cluster stitch and a single crochet stitch. If you are looking for a quick and easy crochet project, this beanie pattern was meant for just that!
This pattern is beginner friendly and makes for a great last-minute gift because it works up in an hour or under depending on quick you crochet. And did I mention you only need one skein?!
Whether you prefer a classic fitted design or a trendy slouchy style, you can customize the fit simply by adjusting the number of rounds.
Top it off with a fluffy pom-pom, or keep it simple for a sleek, minimalist look. No matter how you style it, this quick crochet beanie will keep you warm and looking great all season long!

Let’s get started!!
Here’s what you’ll need to make one:
I used a crochet hook in the N/10.0mm size. With a single crochet pattern, I always use a chunky ergonomic hook like this one, or my hands get sore so fast! This one from Furls is my Favorite.
You’ll also want a soft, super bulky weight yarn, that has a chunky feel and between 100y and 106y. A great one to use is Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick. You can choose from a variety of colors and many crafts stores have it.
You can buy it online from LionBrand.com here!
Of course, you’ll want a yarn needle and scissors, too, but I’ll bet you have those in your project bag already!
