Hi, Katie. This cable beanie is very cute. Just one question -what does fhdc stand for in the first row of brim instructions? Should it have been fpdc, or is there a front half double crochet? If the latter, does that mean front loop? I didn’t see it in the abbreviations and I’m not an experienced enough crocheter to figure it out on my own.
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Charlotte!
Thanks for your comment! Fhdc is a foundation half double crochet, you’ll be working the brim ribbing in one row. I accidentally missed adding that to the abbreviations section, but I fixed it just now. If you don’t like foundation stitches, you can use the Alternate row 1 instructions listed in italics right below that. Hope that helped!
