These simple scrubby mitts are crocheted flat, then sewn shut on 3 sides to form a mitt for scrubbing. Two sizes are included- and you can make both with one ball of scrubby yarn!

Materials
J/6.0 mm Crochet Hook – I recommend a metal hook with scrubby yarn, NOT a wooden one. Furls Odyssey are great for this!
For the samples shown, I used Yarn Bee Scrubology Scrub It! Yarn.
It’s a Bulky [5] weight, 100% Nylon yarn, 3 oz; 79 yds/84m, shown in Aqua colorway.
You’ll also need a wide eye yarn needle and scissors for finishing off.
Can I use a different yarn?
Of course! You can absolutely substitute a different yarn.
Keep in mind that the Scrubology Scrub It! Yarn is a Bulky, 5 weight yarn. That means you’ll need 2 strands of 4 weight yarn to substitute and keep a similar gauge.
You could use two strands of worsted weight cotton dish yarn held together, in the same color or two contrasting colors for a marled look.
Or, if you want some super scrubbing power, consider holding one strand of scrubby yarn with one strand of cotton yarn! I haven’t made a sample like this yet, but I’ll post photos if I do!
